I want to finish by thanking everybody who has been involved in the drafting of this bill and the other legislation, the omnibus bill that is coming before us today. People have been working extremely hard right across government to understand where we might need to change things to respond rapidly to this situation. I thank the Chief Health Officer, Dr Kerryn Coleman, all of her team at the Health Protection Service and everyone across government for the incredible amount of work that is going into this response. We can be really proud of our ACT public service at this time.

(1) a select committee be appointed to consider and report to the Assembly on any matter relating to the ACT government’s health and financial response and any other matter relating to the COVID-19 pandemic as it relates to the ACT;
