Housing-tenants' debts

(Question No 14)

Mr Stefaniak asked the Minister for Urban Services, upon notice:

In relation to the ACT Housing debt:

(1) How many tenants have accrued debt that reside in:

  1. bedsits;
  2. 1 bedroom flats;
  3. 2 bedroom flats;
  4. 3 bedroom flats;
  5. 2 bedroom houses;
  6. 3 bedroom houses;
  7. 4 bedroom houses;
  8. 5 bedroom houses;
  9. 6 + bedroom houses;
  10. aged persons units with (i) 1, (ii) 1.5, and (iii) 2 bedrooms; and
  11. townhouses with (i) 1, (ii) 2 and (iii) 3 bedrooms.

(2) How many tenants in debt owe:

  1. less than $500;
  2. more than $500 but less than $1,000
  3. more than $1,000 but less than $2,000
  4. more than $2,000 but less than $5,000; and
  5. more than $5,000 but less than $10,000

Mr Wood: The answer to the member's question is:

  1. Table included.
  2. Included in the figure for 5 bedroom houses - see (h) above.

ACT Housing's computer system does not separately identify 1.5 bedroom OPAs.

(k) Townhouses are included in the figures for flats.
