MR WOOD: Madam Speaker, in accordance with the Land (Planning and Environment) Act 1991, which commenced on 2 April 1992, I am pleased to be tabling in the Assembly the first leases to be granted direct to a lessee under the terms of that Act - not the first leases ever to be granted, I might tell you. Previously, there was not a requirement to do so, but it is government policy that we should table these. The tabling of these leases satisfies the provisions of sections 161 and 163 of the Act, which require leases that have been granted directly to be tabled in the Legislative Assembly.
