Coppins Crossing Road

Mr Kaine - asked the minister for Urban Services:

(1) Why are streetlights being erected along the Coppins Crossing Road.

(2) What length of this road is being lighted.

(3) What is the cost of this lighting.

(4) How many vehicles use this road on a nightly basis.

Mr Connolly

- the answer to the Members question is as follows:

(1), (2) and (3) Streetlights are not being erected along

Coppins Crossing Road, and no such works have been

scheduled in future Capital Works Programs.

(4) On the basis of a study done in 1988, the average number of vehicles using this road between 6.00pm and 6.00am is 465. This figure is to be reviewed in the near future as part of the ongoing road monitoring process.
