158AOutstanding fine satisfied by imprisonment—young fine defaulter

A person imprisoned under section 154E (Young fine defaulters) discharges the person’s liability to pay the outstanding fine—

at the rate of $300 for each day or part of a day for which the person is detained under the warrant for imprisonment; or

if the person is committed for 7 days—at the end of the 7 day period.
