Civic Youth Centre(Question No 546)

Mr Seselja asked the Minister for Planning, upon notice, on 25 August 2005:

• What was delivered for the $246 000 of capital expenditure, as at the end of the 2004-05 March Quarter, on the Civic Youth Centre;

• Was there any further expenditure on this project in the last quarter of 2004-05; if so, how much and what was delivered for that expenditure; if not, why not;

• What is the (a) current total expenditure on this project and (b) completion date for this project;

• Is the project running according to schedule to meet that completion date;

• Will this project be delivered within its $645 000 budget.

Ms Gallagher: The answer to the member’s question is as follows:

• Capital expenditure of $246,000 for the end of the 2004-05 March Quarter was for preliminary work including design fees. This included work for “The Junction” (Youth Health Centre), which is managed by ACT Health and was incorporated into the project.

• The expenditure for the last quarter of 2004-05 was $827,000.

• (a) The total expenditure to the end of June was $1,073,000.

(b) The construction of the project was completed on the 8 August 2005.

• The project was completed on schedule.

• Yes.
